%0 Journal Article %T La Revoluci¨®n Norteamericana y las tensiones interpretativas en su historiograf¨ªa reciente %A Fernando Purcell %J HIb Revista de Historia Iberoamericana %D 2008 %I Universia %X This article provides with an account of the historiographical developmentrelated to the North American Revolution during the last decades. It stressestensions derived from two of the main interpretative streams, both of which havenot reached a complementary dialogue. On the one hand there are works wheremotivations to participate in the Revolution by small groups and communitiesprevail in the analysis. On then other hand there are historians who apply aninternational or transnational approach to understand the Revolution.
