%X This article is dedicated to analyzing the Bicentennial of the HispanicAmerican Revolutions looking at the French commemoration of the Revolution in1989. It refers to historiography and examines the two main interpretative viewsof the French Revolution: the classic ˇ°Jacobinˇ± interpretation and the more criticapproach that reacted against it. Moreover, the article explores the so-calledˇ°counter-revolutionaryˇ± historiographical stream, which developed during theFrench Bicentennial.
