Tekade %J Heterocyclic Letters %D 2013 %I Raman Publications %X A series of newly substituted isoxazoline derivatives (3a-g) have been synthesized by conventional as well as microwave assisted technology by the reaction of acetanilide, aromatic aldehydes (1a-g) and hydroxylamine hydrochloride in two steps by using K10 Montmorillonite clay as a catalyst. It was found that some compounds show the better yield with K-10 Montmorillonite catalyst under microwave irradiation than conventional synthesis.
