%X Introducci¨®n: La pr¨¢ctica cotidiana del cuidado de Enfermer¨ªa en un ambiente neonatal, no solo est¨¢ sustentada en conocimientos t¨¦cnico-cient¨ªficos ya que est¨¢ mediada por la interacci¨®n entre quien es cuidado y quien brinda el cuidado. Por consiguiente, el conocimiento, el compromiso, la ¨¦tica, el arte de intuici¨®n y la aceptaci¨®n del otro por parte de quien cuida anteceden a la acci¨®n. Objetivo: Describir las caracter¨ªsticas del enfermero que cuidada y la persona cuidada en un ambiente neonatal, a partir de la narrativa de una situaci¨®n de Enfermer¨ªa, bajo un sustento te¨®rico. Metodolog¨ªa: Se desarrolla en tres partes: las dos primeras la revisi¨®n te¨®rica de las caracter¨ªsticas de la persona que cuida y la que es cuidada, la tercera se presenta la situaci¨®n de enfermer¨ªa "Fortaleciendo una Esperanza" con su respectivo an¨¢lisis y abstracci¨®n de las caracter¨ªsticas del cuidado en un ambiente neonatal. Resultados: Se muestran las caracter¨ªsticas de la persona que cuida y es cuidada en un ambiente neonatal, a trav¨¦s del an¨¢lisis de la narrativa de una situaci¨®n de enfermer¨ªa. Este tipo de an¨¢lisis se constituye en un aporte a la valorizaci¨®n de nuestra profesi¨®n y el reconocimiento acad¨¦mico, cient¨ªfico y social. Introduction: The daily practice of the nursing care in a neonatal atmosphere, it is not only supported by technical and scientific knowledge as it is mediated by the interaction between who is receiving care and who is providing care. Therefore, the knowledge, commitment, ethics, the intuition art and the acceptance of the other by who takes care precede the action. Objective: To describe the characteristics of the nurse (male nurse) that takes care and the person taken care of in a neo-natal atmosphere, from the narrative of a nursing situation, under theoretical basis. Methods: it is developed in three parts: the first two are the theoretical review of the characteristics of the person who take cares and who is taken care of, the third is the situation of nursing "Encouraging a Hope" with its respective analysis and abstraction of the care characteristics in a neonatal atmosphere. Results: The characteristics of the person who takes care and who is taken care of in a neonatal atmosphere are shown, through the analysis of the narrative of a nursing situation. This type of analysis becomes a contribution to the enhancement of our profession and academic, scientist and social recognition.
