%X El uso de la Internet como herramienta de consulta e interacci車n con las instituciones p迆blicas supone una modificaci車n profunda en la relaci車n que los ciudadanos establecen con estas instituciones. Este art赤culo se propone analizar el impacto que ha producido la implementaci車n de la plataforma virtual del Senado de la Rep迆blica en el nivel de confianza hacia la instituci車n. Para esto se presentan los resultados de una encuesta aplicada a una muestra que comprende tanto a ciudadanos que regularmente acceden a la plataforma, como a ciudadanos que obtienen informaci車n y servicios institucionales por medio de los mecanismos tradicionales. The use of the Internet as an instrument to access to and interact with public institutions involves a profound modification of the relations of citizens with institutions. This paper examines the impact of the use of the Colombian Senate＊s webpage on citizens＊ confidence in this institution, by analyzing the results of a survey of citizens who access the webpage on a regular basis as well as of those who use traditional channels of getting information and obtaining services.
