Due to its flexibility, easy use and resilience, as well as the guidance offered by the fibroblasts of the recipient organism, which enables the deposition of collagen. This paper reports on the use of the Durepair membranein cases of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Over the past 5 years, this material has been used in 154 patients, in combination with autologous bone graft, allograft or PRP, to repair bone defects which had resulted from trauma, or cyst or tumor removal. It has also been used in preprosthetic surgery, particularly in implant surgery. With the exception of two cases, the immediate postoperative period was free of complications for all patients. In these two exceptional cases, dehiscence of the wound was observed, however there was no evidence of superinfection of the material. Biopsies taken 6 months later revealed complete absorption of the material and repair of the defect with formation of bone tissue in the cases involving implant surgery. %K Durepair membrane %K guided bone regeneration %K bone defect %U http://www.haoms.org/haomsjournal/2012teyxos2_article1.pdf
