%X The following article explores the feminist and women¡¯s movements in Cali between 1980 and 1986, a period greatly influenced by second wave feminism, from a historical perspective. Based on feminist historiography, it reconstructs the origins and development of the Coordinadora de Mujeres (1981). At the same time, through the lens of collective action, it gives an account of the repertoire of the activities of organized women, the dynamics of the social movement and the generation of distinct public and non-public challenges, interpreted here in terms of increased political participation. Finally, it will reflect upon the redefinition of the concept of politics developed by feminist activists and theorists. El siguiente art¨ªculo supone un acercamiento, en perspectiva hist¨®rica, a los movimientos feministas y de mujeres en Cali entre 1980 y 1986, a os de influencia del feminismo de la segunda ola. A partir de la historiograf¨ªa feminista se reconstruir¨¢ el origen y desarrollo de la Coordinadora de Mujeres (1981). Igualmente, y desde el enfoque de la acci¨®n colectiva, se dar¨¢ cuenta del repertorio de actividades de las mujeres organizadas, las din¨¢micas de la movilizaci¨®n social y la generaci¨®n de distintos desaf¨ªos p¨²blicos/no p¨²blicos, interpretados aqu¨ª en t¨¦rminos de una ampliaci¨®n de su participaci¨®n pol¨ªtica. Finalmente, se reflexionar¨¢ sobre las redefiniciones del concepto de pol¨ªtica elaboradas por las activistas y las te¨®ricas feministas.
