%X Despu¨¦s de ofrecer una cr¨ªtica sobre lo que el autor denomina  la teodicea del texto , donde se utilizan t¨¦cnicas para leer a los filos¨®ficos can¨®nicos como se har¨ªa con una deidad o un texto sagrado, en este art¨ªculo se exploran problemas de justificaci¨®n en la filosof¨ªa con relaci¨®n al amplio alcance de la racionalidad instrumental en virtud de la hegemon¨ªa cient¨ªfica en el pensamiento moderno. No obstante, la cr¨ªtica de este amplio y colonizador alcance se ve amenazada por un desaf¨ªo a la teor¨ªa misma y, en virtud de eso, en la filosof¨ªa, seg¨²n el adagio de la cr¨ªtica y poeta Audre Lorde,  las herramientas de los maestros carecen de la capacidad de desmantelar sus casas .  Deben la teor¨ªa y la raz¨®n ser antit¨¦ticas a los objetivos de los proyectos mancipadores? El ensayo responde negativamente a esta cuesti¨®n a trav¨¦s de la diferenciaci¨®n entre la raz¨®n y la racionalidad, explorando las pr¨¢cticas metacr¨ªticas sobre la raz¨®n y las limitaciones disciplinarias de la racionalidad manifestadas en lo que el autor llama  decadencia disciplinaria  y  suspensi¨®n teleol¨®gica  de la filosof¨ªa. After offering a critique of what the author calls ¡°the theodicy of the text¡±, where practices are applied to the reading of canonical philosophers as one would to a deity or sacred text, this article then explores problems of justification in philosophy in relation to the expanded reach of instrumental rationality by virtue of scientific hegemony in modern thought. The critique of this expanded and colonizing scope is threatened, however, by a challenge to theory itself, and by that virtue, philosophy, in the adage of the critic and poet Audre Lorde, that masters¡¯ tools lack the capacity to dismantle their houses. Must theory and reason be antithetical to the aims of emancipatory projects? The rest of the essay answers in the negative through differentiating reason from rationality and exploring the metacritical practices of the former and the disciplinary limitations of the latter manifested as what the author calls ¡°disciplinary decadence¡± and a ¡°teleological suspension¡±of philosophy.
