%X In this article, we shall approach the advent of Catholic television channels in Brazil, the mediatic environments which they produce, and the influence of these environments in the consolidation and expansion of the Catholic Church; the mediatic environments with little or no visibility, and how Catholicism via television, with its plurality of interfaces, holds the potential to transform the constitution of contemporary culture. The key question is: Is Catholicism emerging through Catholic-inspired television channels? Academic reflection and debate are launched.
