%X The market for agricultural products and agricultural prospects has to absorb an increase in local agricultural production, to the extent that these products are competitive. Public and political awareness of the importance of agriculture as a factor of international security, which has acquired more importance because of increasing food prices, could more easily account for the taxpayer's continued support of agriculture, not only for economic reasons, but also for reasons of security of the steady market supply of food.
