Adaptive modulation is proposed to improve the outage and spectral efficiency performance of the system. This paper presents an analytical procedure for the evaluation of the outage and spectral efficiency of the system in Indonesia with heavy rain rate. As validation, analytic and simulation results are compared. The results show that adaptive modulation can significantly improve outage and spectral efficiency performance of the system, especially for links with relatively long distance. %K adaptive modulation %K millimeter-wave %K rain attenuation %K spectral efficiency %U http://telkomnika.ee.uad.ac.id/n9/files/Vol.8No.3Des10/8.3.12.10.14.pdf
