%X A t¨¦cnica instrumental ¨¦ um elemento da performance musical em constantes reformula  es. Com o objetivo principal de estender a t¨¦cnica violon¨ªstica da pestana, o presente artigo foi dividido em tr¨ºs partes: (1) conceitua  es gerais sobre t¨¦cnica instrumental; (2) a partir de m¨¦todos instrumentais dos ¨²ltimos quatrocentos anos, um breve hist¨®rico da pestana foi delineado com o objetivo de recolher informa  es t¨¦cnicas sobre sua realiza  o, (3) sugest es e exemplifica  es de procedimentos n o usuais de pestana (com dedos diferentes do indicador, de falange, bisagra e cruzada), encontrados de forma muito resumida na escassa bibliografia sobre o assunto e cuja aplicabilidade ¨¦ verificada no repert¨®rio. Instrumental technique is an element of musical performance in constant reformulation. With the main objective of expanding the guitar technique of barring, this study was divided into three parts: (1) general concepts about instrumental technique; (2) from instrumental methods of the past four hundred years, a brief history of the barr¨¦ was outlined in order to collect technical information about its realization, (3) suggestions and examples of unusual barring procedures (with different fingers, phalanx barr¨¦, hinge barr¨¦, crossed barr¨¦), found in the scarce bibliography and which applicability is verified in the repertoire.
