%X O presente trabalho tem por objetivo examinar e discutir, à luz da filosofia do segundo Wittgenstein, as no  es de ‘entendimento’ e ‘progresso’ presentes no discurso da Prática Exploratória. A Prática Exploratória apresenta-se como uma modalidade de pesquisa pedagógica na qual os praticantes trabalham para entender a vida em sala de aula, ao mesmo tempo em que renunciam a uma vis o mais tradicional de busca pela eficiência através da resolu  o de problemas. Por isso mesmo, as no  es de ‘entendimento’ e ‘progresso’ s o de capital importancia na elabora  o do pensamento exploratório. Percebendo a existência de uma afinidade entre os princípios da Prática Exploratória e a filosofia de cunho pragmático do segundo Wittgenstein, buscamos apoio nessa última para desenvolver uma reflex o teórica acerca das no  es aqui apresentadas.This work examines and discusses, in the light of the late philosophy of Wittgenstein, the notions of ‘understanding’ and ‘progress’ in the discourse of Exploratory Practice. Exploratory Practice is an approach to practitioner research in which practitioners work to understand life in the classroom. In addition, this pedagogical view also shifts from a traditional view that seeks efficiency through the solution of problems. For this reason, the notions of ‘understanding’ and ‘progress’ are extremely relevant to the exploratory thought. Noticing a substantial affinity between the principles of Exploratory Practice and the late philosophy of Ludwig Wittgenstein, we ground the reflection presented herein on the latter.
