%X In the cation of the title compound, C7H7N2+¡¤NO3 , the nitrile group and the benzene ring are almost coplanar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.006  ). In the crystal, the ions are connected by bifurcated N¡ªH...(O,O) hydrogen bonds, forming a two-dimensional network parallel to (001).
