%X In the article authors are dealing with the issue of lifelong education importance, while the dominant dimension is the application of knowledge, habits and skills gained through the lifelong education and their use in the proffesional career. A space demonstrating the issue is the Customs Administration of the Slovak Republic and its workplaces. Priestorom, v ktorom sa problematika demon truje je Coln¨˘ spr¨˘va SR a jej pracovisk¨˘. Hlavnym cie om pr¨Şspevku je upriami  pozornos  na aktu¨˘lne trendy, akcentuj¨˛c vplyvy s¨˛ asnych spolo enskych premien a ich premietnutie do vyznamn¨¦ho komponentu osobnostn¨¦ho fungovania  loveka - jeho pracovn¨¦ho  ivota a tym je profesijn¨˘ dr¨˘ha a profesijny  ivot jednotlivca.
