%X One of the most important teachers of Faculty of Medicine of University of Cartagena,Colombia, in the first half of the twentieth century was Dr. Miguel A. Lengua. Intellectual,actor and agent of training medical professionals in times when anatomy and clinicalthought were epicenter of teaching / learning and practice. His writing present adetailed description of signs and symptoms and pathophysiological interpretation ofthe disease. In the Gaceta del Hospital Universitario ¡°Santa Clara¡± and the GacetaM¨¦dica of the Cartagena, are published several of his articles. We present one, whichallows observation of his clinical and diagnostic acumen.RESUMEN:Uno de los profesores m¨¢s importantes de la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad deCartagena, Colombia, en la primera mitad del siglo XX fue el Doctor Miguel A. Lengua.Intelectual, actor y agente de la formaci¨®n de profesionales de la medicina en ¨¦pocasen que la anatom¨ªa y la estructuraci¨®n y pensamiento cl¨ªnico, eran el epicentro dela ense anza/aprendizaje y del ejercicio profesional. En sus escritos est¨¢ presentela descripci¨®n minuciosa de los signos y los s¨ªntomas, as¨ª como la interpretaci¨®nfisiopatol¨®gica de las patolog¨ªas. En la Gaceta del Hospital Universitario ¡°SantaClara¡± y en la Gaceta M¨¦dica de Cartagena, est¨¢n publicados varios de sus art¨ªculos.Presentamos uno de ellos, que permite observar su agudeza cl¨ªnica y diagn¨®stica.
