The objectives of the study were I ) to examine the significant difference in anxiety between working and non-working widows. II) to examine the significant difference in social support between working and nonworking widows. The sample consisted of 120 (60 working and 60 non- working widows) selected from Gulbarga district in Karnataka state. Personal data sheet, Comprehensive anxiety test (Sinha's,) and P.G.I. Social support questionnaire (Ritu Nehra,at all.) were used to collect the required data. And the data were subjected the ttest. The result revealed that there is a significant difference in anxiety and social support between working and non-working widow samples.
