%X In the title compound, [Gd(C6H6O3S)(H2O)7](C6H6O3S)(NO3)，4C10H8N2，2H2O, the GdIII ion is octacoordinated by seven water molecules and one O-bonded 4-aminobenzenesulfonate anion in a square-antiprismatic arrangement. In the crystal, the components are linked by N！H...O, O！H...N and O！H...O hydrogen bonds.
