There are different contacting patterns for the said purpose viz. co-current, counter current and crosscurrent and also a variety of equipments are encountered. This paper deals with the simulation of counter current liquid-liquid extraction operation for the special case of immiscible solvent using MATLAB. In this paper seven case studies have been studied and the results obtained are compared with the literature and it was found that results are in good agreement with the literature available. %K Extraction %K Counter current %K Multistage %K Modified McCabe Thiele method %K MATLAB %U http://ljs.academicdirect.org/A20/079_094.pdf
