%X The article presents the history and today¡¯s services of the Branch Library in the Chemikum building in Giessen. Special emphasis is put on the integration into the University¡¯s Library System. An outlook on the library¡¯s future development with the planned erection of a Central Library for the Natural Sciences is given.
