%X En el texto que sigue, hacemos un recorrido por lanoci車n de sostenibilidad y de relaciones urbanassostenibles, resaltando el nexo entre las fuentesconsultadas y un acontecimiento espec赤fico: cruzar lacalle en puntos gestionados por sem芍foros. Adem芍s,presentamos una visi車n diferente de temporalidad enel marco de las mencionadas relaciones. As赤,introducimos la noci車n de tiempo verticaloponi谷ndola, sin pretender sustituir, a visiones m芍stradicionales que ubicamos dentro de lo que llamamostiempo horizontal. Finalmente, ejemplificamosnuestros argumentos con unas notas etnogr芍ficasextra赤das de nuestro diario de campo cuya forma tienecomo fondo la descripci車n densa (Geertz, 2003), sinllegar a ser tan exhaustiva como lo fue la producci車ngeertziana. Para ello asumimos como sustento te車ricoalgunos de los principios de la Teor赤a del Actor-Red(Latour, 2005, 2002, 2001). Concluimos que lasostenibilidad relacional urbana es una noci車ncompleja, cuya comprensi車n requiere tomar en cuentaagentes humanos y no humanos, es decir, relacionesintersubjetivas y, tambi谷n, interobjetivas (Latour,2005). / In this paper, we go through different notions of sustainabilityand urban sustainable relationships in recentscientific literature. We link some of those notions to aspecific event: crossing the street in points controlledby traffic lights. We use a distinctive approach to temporalityin the realm of the aforementioned relationships.Thus, we introduce the notion of vertical timeopposing the traditional one that we call horizontaltime. Finally, we offer a couple of examples taken froma field diary constructed on the basis of Actor-NetworkTheory (Latour, 2005, 2002, 2001) and the thick descriptionas proposed by Clifford Geertz (2003). Weconclude that urban sustainable relationships are complex,and to understand them it is needed to take intoaccount human and non-human agents; i.e., intersubjectivityand interobjectivity (Latour, 2005).
