Factors influencing residents¡¯ attitudes were examined using a model consisting five latent constructs and six path hypotheses. Within this context, findings from 300 resident-respondents from Akcakoca, Turkey were analyzed. Utilizing LISREL 8,54 structural equation analysis package, a confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis were performed successively on the collected data. Also content analysis was employed for testing the data from open-ended questions. Results indicated that the residents¡¯ support is likely to be strongly affected by most constructs, especially by the relationship between ¡°tourism benefits¡± and ¡°long term plan¡± factors for sustainability. %K Tourism development %K residents¡¯ attitude %K structural equation model %K content analysis %U http://www.insanbilimleri.com/ojs/index.php/uib/article/view/2293
