%X El castellano fue el primer idioma al que se tradujeron las obras completas de Sigmund Freud. A ello contribuyeron diversos factores, entre los que se destaca la figura de Luis L車pez-Ballesteros, a quien le encarg車 la traducci車n la editorial Biblioteca Nueva. En este art赤culo se esbozan someramente la recepci車n del psicoan芍lisis en Espa a y las traducciones de Freud al espa ol y se ofrece una breve semblanza de Luis L車pez-Ballesteros. --------------------------------------------- Luis L車pez-Ballesteros: the first Spanish translator of Freud's complete works. Sigmund Freud's complete works were translated first into Spanish. Several factors contributed to this circumstance, not least among them the figure of Luis L車pez-Ballesteros, who was entrusted with the translation by publishing house Biblioteca Nueva. In this article we briefly outline the reception of psychoanalysis in Spain and the translations of Freud into Spanish. We also give a brief biographical sketch of Luis L車pez-Ballesteros.
