%X Este trabajo analiza tres de los principales criterios mediante los cuales se ha buscado clasificar la predicaci車n hisp芍nica en g谷neros, entre los que se ha incluido el paneg赤rico. Se revisa la tradici車n ret車rica cl芍sica y se establecen diferencias con la oratoria sagrada, con el fin de determinar en qu谷 medida es posible clasificar g谷neros del serm車n. Adem芍s, se busca determinar cu芍l ser赤a el lugar del paneg赤rico dentro de la ret車rica sacra. This work is based on a review ofthree of the main criteria used to classify Hispanic preaching in genres (types of sermons). These criteria have also been used to classify panegyric as a genre of sacred oratory. Establishing differences between classical rhetoric and sacred oratory, this paper will try to define the place of the panegyric in preaching, thus determining in which ways it is possible to speak about genres of the sermon.
