%X Appellation plays a very important role in people¡¯s daily communication and it is necessary to abide by certain principles of politeness in the choice of address forms. This paper mainly studies the reflection of politeness principle in the appellations, the influence factors about using those address forms appropriately, as well as cultural difference between English and Chinese, which can provide some guiding points for people to perform interpersonal and intercultural communication smoothly and establish a good communication relationship.
