Though the course contained severallearning resources, were the activities, mainly the discussion forums, the components of the course with more important effects on the learning process. The discussion forums allow the teacher to explore the initial students¡¯conceptions and ideas about the concepts under learning, and the students to express, in a less formal context than the classroom, their concrete experiences.
