Yet optical networks arenot completely immune to security treats, among which areinterchannel attacks by exploiting the crosstalk effects, including eavesdropping and jamming. In this paper, wedevelop a novel routing algorithm to minimize lightpathoverlapping thus minimize the damage caused by aninterchannel attack. The algorithm has a running time that isexponential only to the number of existing lightpaths butpolynomial to the network size. %K Optical network security %K interchannelattacks %K eavesdropping %K jamming %K lightpath routing. %U http://www.ijfcc.org/papers/109-F00006.pdf
