In this paper we apply networkcoding techniques to Wireless LAN (WLAN). Network codingis applied at the access node of a 7-cluster WLAN and theprobability of network coding feasibility is arrived at. Furtherqueuing theory is applied to analytically obtain the WLANthroughput both in the presence as well as absence of physicalchannel induced transmission errors. From the analysis it isobserved that application of network coding to WLANincreases the throughput by 5 to 7% as compared to traditionalstore and forward routing. %K Network coding %K opportunistic listening %K packet loss %K throughput %K wireless LAN. %U http://www.ijfcc.org/papers/113-F0020.pdf
