%X Nel presente lavoro si ¨¨ tentato di far chiarezza sulla particolare forma vascolare bronzea qui definita recipienti troncoconici ad ansa sormontante, ma spesso chiamata boccale, caccabus o cuccuma. Attraverso unĄŻanalisi della morfologia del vaso bronzeo si ¨¨ proposta una destinazione dĄŻuso per preparare infusi o salse o per il consumo di vino. LĄŻanalisi dei contesti ha permesso di orientare la datazione tra la met¨¤ del III e la met¨¤ del II secolo a.C., anche se permangono indizi che allargherebbero il limite superiore alla fine del IV secolo a.C. Il dato contestuale ha permesso anche di proporre come centro di produzione il sito di Capena, in quanto dei 67 esemplari individuati 31 provengono dalle necropoli locali. In the work presented we attempted to clarify the particular bronze vascular forms herein defined recipienti troncoconici ad ansa sormontante (Ą°over vase loop handled frustoconical vesselsĄą), often called mug, caccabus or kettle. Through a morphological analysis of the bronze vessel we proposed a hypothesized purpose of infusion or sauce preparation or a spiced wine container. The contextual analysis made it possible to date the articles between the mid-third and half of the second century BC, although some clues can extend the upper limit toward the end of the fourth century BC. The data context also allowed to suggest the site of Capena as production centre, since 31 of the 67 specimens come from the neighboring necropoles.
