Our problematic concerns the assistance for describing the tutoring activity. We aim to specify roles and tutor involvement and also to describe the tools supporting this activity. Using tutoring activity research studies in distance learning environments, we propose a model of tutoring organisation, called Triton. We describe the methodology for using Triton. We propose to extend two EMLs (IMS-LD and LDL) based on Triton.
