The PtII ion is coordinated by two P atoms [Pt!P = 2.3196 (5) ] from two L ligands and two chloride anions [Pt!Cl = 2.3075 (5) ] in a distorted square-planar geometry with P!Pt!Cl angles of 88.016 (16) and 91.984 (16)<. The effective cone angle of the phosphane ligand was calculated to be 156<. Weak C!H...O and C!H...Cl hydrogen bonds hold molecules together. %U http://scripts.iucr.org/cgi-bin/paper?S1600536812045643
