%X In recent years Peer-to-peer (P2P) video streaming have become very popular. This paper presents a survey on the challenges and solutions of providing live and on-demand video streaming in P2P networks. We also describe two techniques content delivery networks (CDN) and multiple description coding (MDC) to distributing live streaming to a potentially large and highly dynamic population of hosts.
