%X Se investig車 el efecto de dos medios de cultivo, ma赤z y trigo, en la productividad del doble mutante ebony - white (e//e w//w) de Drosophila melanogaster, como parte de un trabajo desarrollado con el fin de mejorar las condiciones de mantenimiento y manejo del Cepario de Drosophila del Departamento de Biolog赤a de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Se encontr車 que la productividad se ve afectada por el tipo de medio, obteni谷ndose una mayor productividad en el medio de ma赤z que en el de trigo; tambi谷n se observ車 que la productividad depende de los tipos de cruces quese realicen y del mutante en cuesti車n. El cruce ※+//+ +//+ x e//e w/ es m芍s productivo que su rec赤proco, siendo el efecto del alelo ebony el factor determinante. Por otra parte el alelo white cuando es portado por el macho no tiene efecto sobre la productividad. Finalmente se detect車 un efecto negativo sobre las hembras +//e +//w en el medio de trigo. We investigated the effect of two culture media on the productivity of the double mutant ebony-white (e//e w//w) of Drosophila melanogaster, aimed at improving the conditions for maintenance of Drosophila＊s collection, Departamento de Biolog赤a, Universidad Nacional de Colombia. The results indicate that the productivity is affected by the culture medium, being the maize culture medium more productive than the wheat one; it was also shown that the productivity depends both, on the crosses type that is realize and on the mutant. The ※+//+ +//+ x e//e w/ cross is more productive than its reciprocal cross, where the position of the ebony allele is the most important factor. With respect to the white allele, when carried by males it does not have effect on the productivity. In addition, we detected a negative effect of wheat culture medium on females +//e +//w.
