The way of selecting the methods depends on the characteristics of the waste stream, environmental regulations, and cost. Reviewing the experimental works on this area and discussing about their effectiveness as well as modeling of their works would be helpful for deciding whether the integrated process is effective to fulfill the annually restricted legislations with lower investment. Therefore, optimization of each process should be done based on different aspects such as operation time, operating cost, and energy consumption.
