W. F. Hegel¡¯s work Philosophy of history and M. Eliade¡¯s Myth of eternal return. The study characterizes and confronts both conceptions; Hegel¡¯s ¡°historical¡± view, which represents occidental way of thinking, and the ¡°ahistorical¡± perception of history, represented by Eliade¡¯s archaic ontology. At the same time the study looks for common features in their approaches to this matter. It also analyzes Eliade¡¯s references to Hegel¡¯s perception of history and points out the historical context of both works. %U http://www.ostium.sk/index.php?mod=magazine&act=show&aid=288
