%X EDA tools have been widely utilized in RF circuit designs in aid of predicting RF parametric performance. However, the issue of correlativity of the simulated results to the actual hardware performance remains questionable due to the complexity of signal and noise propagation in RF frequency. This journal exhibits the utilization of ADS Momentum simulation in characterizing the VHF band VCO phase noise performance, which results in close correlation with the actual board measurement. Analysis and discussion on the ADS Momentum simulation results in comparison with conventional simulation results are also further detailed.
