%X In advance of the current economic downturn, governments around the world had embarked uponvery well intentioned efficiency remedial measures by observing its customers¡¯ needs and expectations,implementing the shared design services catering to its various common functions across the departments, leveraging benefits with state-of-art introduction of Information technology and Social CRM. Bringing this approach together helps cost reduction programs introduced by the government produce better outcome and deliver efficiencies and effectiveness in various government functions along with endorsing sustainability in its different endeavors. Strong alignment among the various government departments and buy-in to the shared-services philosophy has been realized as the major contributing factor enabling the effective functioning and hence tools the SCRM and I.T. Strategy have been bundled together forming a collaborative approach.
