%X Anhand eines aktuellen Forschungsprojekts wird der Nutzen des Computerprogramms NUD*IST f¨¹r die qualitative Dokumentenanalyse er rtert. Unser Projekt untersucht die gesellschaftliche Bewertung von spektakul ren Straftaten. Dazu wurden Dokumente aus dem gesamten 20. Jahrhundert erhoben, digitalisiert und unter Einsatz von NUD*IST ausgewertet. Da  ffentliche und fachliche Diskurse untersucht werden, ist das Datenmaterial des Projekts au erordentlich heterogen: fachwissenschaftliche Publikationen, Gerichtsakten, Zeitungsberichte, administrative Dokumente. Wir wollen zeigen, wie sich mit Hilfe von NUD*IST allgemeine Fragestellungen an das Material in eine systematische Kategorisierung ¨¹berf¨¹hren lassen. Neben den Funktionen, M glichkeiten und Beschr nkungen des Einsatzes von NUD*IST werden konkrete Arbeitsschritte und auftretende Schwierigkeiten erl utert. Abschlie end werden einige ¨¹berlegungen zur Kompatibilit t von NUD*IST mit qualitativen Methoden der Sozialforschung angestellt. URN: urn:nbn:de:0114-fqs0003211 On the basis of a current research project we discuss the use of the computer program NUD*IST for the analysis and archiving of qualitative documents. Our project examines the social evaluation of spectacular criminal offenses and we identify, digitize and analyze documents from the entire 20th century. Since public and scientific discourses are examined, the data of the project are extraordinarily heterogeneous: scientific publications, court records, newspaper reports, and administrative documents. We want to show how to transfer general questions into a systematic categorization with the assistance of NUD*IST. Apart from the functions, possibilities and limitations of the application of NUD*IST, concrete work procedures and difficulties encountered are described. URN: urn:nbn:de:0114-fqs0003211 Sobre la base de un proyecto de investigaci¨®n en curso, discutiremos el uso del programa de computaci¨®n para el an¨¢lisis y archivo de documentos cualitativos NUD*IST. En nuestro proyecto examinamos la evaluaci¨®n social de delitos criminales espectaculares e identificamos, digitalizamos y analizamos documentos de todo el siglo 20. Dado que examinamos discursos p¨²blicos y cient¨ªficos, los datos del proyecto constituyen publicaciones cient¨ªficas, registros del tribunal, reportes de la prensa y documentos administrativos extraordinariamente heterogeneos.
