Filho %J Orbital : the Electronic Journal of Chemistry %D 2012 %I Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul %X Aromatic Schiff-Bases constitute a large class of organic compounds containing the imine group (C=N) [1-3]. 2-hydroxybenzaldehyde (salicylaldehyde) which has been frequently used for the synthesis of aromatic Schiff-Bases, it has many biological applications, such as analgesics, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral and bactericidal activities [4-6]. From above, this project proposed the synthesis of three Schiff bases derived from salicylaldehyde prepared by condensation between salicylaldehyde with different p-substituted anilines (H, NO2 and MeO). Schiff-Bases synthesized were used as starting compound for the synthesis of nickel complexes. The synthesis of nickel complexes were carried out by adding of alcoholic solution of ligands (2 eq.) in aqueous solution of NiCl2.6 H2O (1 eq.) contain KOH (1eq.) 3 hours. After this Matsumoto et al. time, the reaction was kept to r.t. to obtain a precipitates. The precipitates were filtered under vacuum and they were characterized by GC-MS, FT-IR and UV-Vis Bases de Schiff arom¨¢ticas constituem uma grande classe de compostos organicos contendo o grupo imino (C=N) [1-3]. 2-hidr¨®xibenzalde¨ªdo (salicilalde¨ªdo) que tem sido frequentemente utilizado para a s¨ªntese das Bases de Schiff arom¨¢ticas, possui muitas aplica es biol¨®gicas, tais como analg¨¦sicos, anti-inflamat¨®rios, anti-bacterianos, atividades bactericidas e antiviral [4-6]. Desta forma, o presente trabalho apresenta a s¨ªntese de tr¨ºs bases de Schiff derivadas do salicilalde¨ªdo preparados atrav¨¦s da rea o de condensa o entre salicilalde¨ªdo com diferentes anilinas para-substitu¨ªdas (H, NO2 e MeO). As bases de Schiff sintetizadas foram utilizadas como composto de partida para a s¨ªntese de complexos de N¨ªquel. A s¨ªntese dos complexos foram realizadas em agita o magn¨¦tica, adicionando-se lentamente solu o alco¨®lica (2 eq.) dos ligantes e KOH ¨¤s solu es aquosas (1 eq.) de NiCl2.6 H2O. Os complexos foram refluxados a uma temperatura de ca. 80,0oC, por um per¨ªodo de 3 horas e posteriormente foram filtrados a v¨¢cuo. Os materiais formados foram caracterizados atrav¨¦s de t¨¦cnicas como GC-MS, FT-IR e UV-Vis.
