Females are more affected than men probablydue to the vascular effects of hormones that occur during puberty, pregnancy andmenopause. In pregnancy, the lesions are known as ˇ°pregnancy tumorˇ± and tend tooccur more frequently during the second and third trimester. In the oral cavity, histopathological examination is required for diagnosis, since the lesion is clinicallyindistinguishable from other reactive lesions and, usually, there is no evidence of boneinvolvement. We present a case of pregnancy tumor highlighting the need for propermanagement that occured in the mandibular gingiva of a 27 year old female in thesecond trimester of pregnancy which was excised after parturition due to itspersistence. %K Pyogenic granuloma %K pregnancy tumor %K persistence. %U http://a4add.com/remoteupload/uploads/2040/share/13412969129567_myfile.pdf
