%X This text approaches theurban transformations why passedthe city of Manaus during the peakof the period of the eraser. Thosetransformations were dictated aboveall by a concern doctor-hygienist thatsought to control the daily of thecity in a series of aspects.Saintevaluated some prohibitions of thepermanence of popular habits thatprivileged the maintenance of thepublic health and rules of sanitarypattern imposed.
