%X The aim of this article is to analyze the ¡°Cortes¡± that occurred in Portugal during the reign of D. Afonso V (1448-1481). The sources for this article are Armindo de Sousa¡¯s studies, the ¡°Ordena  es Afonsinas¡± and texts published sparsely in the bibliography and in the Monumenta Henricina, all of them related to the ¡°Cortes¡± that took place during D.Afonso¡¯s government.
