%X After summarizing the main topics of the book ˇ°A Critique of Silviculture - Managing for Complexityˇ± (Puettmann et al. 2009), some aspects of interest on the management of forests as complex, adaptive systems, are briefly discussed in order to contribute to the ongoing debate dividing silviculturists, researchers and scholars in Italy.
