%X Only one video of Professor Joe Himes is known to exist. In this video, filmed in a social setting, Dr. Himes explains that he feels it is important for current black leaders to make sure good African Ameicans are nominated for election. While speaking of the American Sociological Association, the comment that if you do not nominate good minority candidates, you cannot vote for them holds true today, especially in light of the election of the first African American president of the United States. A script of the brief session is included due to high levels of background noise in the video.
