In this paper we discussblack hole attackon Ad-hoc network andpropose a solution to the hijacked node behaving as black hole node. A scenario has been consideredwhere anode inside network has been intruded andcompromised tocause blackholeattack. The proposedsecuritysolutionmodifies original AODV using a hierarchical basedintrusion detectionmethod toidentifyhijacked nodeand exclude the particular node from network
