As regard as emotional intelligence height in personswho supplied self-identity and prove the needs, notice consuming and deficient, have command over one's temper establishrelations with friends and acquaintances. In this study, is aimed to examine of emotional intelligence levels some sociodemographiccharacteristic on physical education students. Also, it is determinate difference in emotional intelligence scalepoints according to gender, area of instruction, and sport branches of students in sampling. In this study, the emotionalintelligence scale, which was designed by Reuven Bar-On and enhanced to Turkish adaptation by Acar, was used for students.SPSS 13.0 statistical program was used for evaluation and calculation of the data. In order to explain difference betweenmeasurements, Mann-Whitney U and t ¨C test and One-Way ANOVA and Kruskal Wallis H was used according to the results ofthe test of normality and Tamhane test from Post Hoc Multiple Comparisons tests was used according to the results of thehomogeneity of variance. The significance level was taken as 0.05. We did not find any statistical differences between gender,and individual sports for personal skills, compatibility and interpersonal skills (P>0.05). Also, we did not find any statisticaldifferences between team and individual sports for overcome stress and general emotional state (P>0.05). Again, we did notfind any differences disciplines between for overcome stress and gender between for general emotional state (P>0.05). On theother hand, It was found that disciplines between for interpersonal skills, compatibility, general emotional state and personalskills (P<0.05).
