%X Analiza el papel del editor cient赤fico, relaciona las habilidades necesarias para aquellos que anhelan ser editor y reanuda las funciones que 谷l realiza en una revista cient赤fica. Revisa los conceptos clave, como editor y editora, edici車n y proceso editorial. Recuerda la tipolog赤a de las editoras, y, sobre todo, muestra que el editor vive la paradoja de responder a las cuestiones culturales del pa赤s en que vive (el sue o) y asegurar las ganancias por los libros que publica (la supervivencia). Describe el mercado editorial brasile o de las publicaciones cient赤ficas, en referencia a los t赤tulos impresos y electr車nicos. Destaca la mediaci車n entre el autor y el editor y los dilemas inherentes a la funci車n de generar la producci車n intelectual (de cualquier naturaleza); la mercantilizaci車n creciente de la producci車n intelectual y cient赤fica como producto comercial; la multiplicidad de funciones que la cotidianidad impone al editor; la cuesti車n cantidad versus calidad de los originales enviados a las revistas cient赤ficas. Por 迆ltimo, destaca la importancia del editor de revistas cient赤ficas, que garantiza la seguridad, la calidad y el reconocimiento de los t赤tulos publicados y, por lo tanto, de la comunicaci車n cient赤fica mediante el cuidado con la calidad de los trabajos cient赤ficos. Abstract in English: Analyzes the role of scientific editor, lists the skills needed for those yearning to be editor and resumes his functions in a scientific journal. Review the main concepts such as editor and publisher, editing and publishing process. Presents the types of publishers, and, above all, shows that the editor is living the paradox of responding to the cultural issues in the country where he lives (his dreams) and of ensuring profits for the enterprises (her survival). Describe the Brazilian publishing market of scientific publications, referring to the print and electronic titles. Stresses the mediation between the author and the editor and the dilemmas inherent in the function of generating the intellectual production (of any kind); the increasing commercializing of the intellectual and scientific like commercial products; the multiplicity of functions imposed to the editor in his daily life; and the question of quantity versus quality of originals sent to scientific journals. Finally, it highlights the importance of the scientific journal editor, who guarantees safety, quality and recognition of the titles published and, therefore, of the scientific communication through careful with the quality of scientific work.
