%X En espa ol: La digitalizaci車n ha propiciado una nueva forma de concebir los canales de televisi車n; son diversos los autores que han tratado esta tem芍tica 每Cebri芍n (2004), Alcolea (2003), Bustamante (1999), etc.-, sin embargo, las aproximaciones que se han hecho en materia de canales tem芍ticos infantiles resultan un tanto superfluas. Se realiza una revisi車n de las teor赤as existentes sobre televisi車n, infancia y canales tem芍ticos que nos lleva a poder aportar una nueva terminolog赤a y a formular una aproximaci車n a la definici車n de Canal Infantil Politem芍tico, fiel reflejo de la realidad televisiva del siglo XXI. In english: The digitalization has created a new way to understand the television channels. There are several authors that have studied this theme 每Cebri芍n (2004), Alcolea (2003), Bustamante (1999), etc. -, however, the approaches that have been made about thematic children＊s channels are quite superfluous. This article carries out a revision of the existing theories about television, chilhood and thematic channels that provides a new terminology and formulates an approach to the Polithematic Children∩s Channel definition, which shows the XXI Century television reality.
