%X En el marco curricular de la LOE, se destaca la importancia de la competencia matem¨¢tica en todas las etapas educativas. A diario en todas las aulas, y en concreto en las de Educaci¨®n Infantil, se tratan aspectos relacionados con ¡±las matem¨¢ticas¡±; los docentes deben saber c¨®mo aprenden y piensan los ni os y qu¨¦ necesitan, sienten y valoran, para que las matem¨¢ticas resulten motivadoras y f¨¢ciles, y no sean utilizadas de forma mec¨¢nica y sin pensar. Para poder evaluar su aprendizaje, en ocasiones debido a las caracter¨ªsticas propias de la edad, esta evaluaci¨®n resulta laboriosa y dif¨ªcil de realizar; es por ello que el conocimiento de los maestros de c¨®mo aprenden matem¨¢ticas los ni os y por qu¨¦ no las aprenden cobra especial importancia para una correcta evaluaci¨®n.Adem¨¢s, en la actualidad existen instrumentos de evaluaci¨®n de competencia matem¨¢tica, que aportan informaci¨®n relevante de un alumno/a sobre sus conocimientos, habilidades y destrezas; uno de ellos es el Test de Competencia Matem¨¢tica B¨¢sica (TEMA-3). En este estudio se realiz¨® el test a un grupo de alumnos de 4 a os y se analizaron y describieron posteriormente los resultados.Mathematical literacy in 4 year old childrenABSTRACTAs part of the LOE curriculum, emphasizes the importance of mathematical literacy in all educational stages. Every day in every classroom, specifically in the Education of Young Children, discussed issues related to "mathematics" teachers must know how children learn and think and what they need, feel and value, that is motivating mathematics and easy, and not be used mechanically and without thinking. In order to assess their learning, sometimes due to the characteristics of age, this evaluation is laborious and difficult to do, which is why the teachers' knowledge of how children learn mathematics and why not learn them is particularly important for proper evaluation.In addition, there are now tools of mathematical literacy assessment, which provide information relevant to a student about his / her knowledge, skills and abilities, one of which is the Basic Mathematics Competency Test (TEMA-3). This study was conducted to test a group of students from 4 years and then analyse and describe the results.
