%X The author, through an autobiographical account of the ceremony for the circumcisionof her great-nephew, born of Italian mother and Tunisian father,held in Tunisi in August 2006, emphasizes the importance of supporting transculturalparenthood with the aim of guiding the mediation between differentupbringing principles and enabling a more integrated growth of the new generations.That experience teaches that relationship dynamics within interracial familiesrequire an extra creative integration effort from their members who have differentlifestyles and educational practices. At times psychological mediation isrequired to keep off both adultsĄ¯ and childrenĄ¯s uncertainties and worries.
